Do you believe in Night Marchers? I haven't been satisified personally w/this event but I have 3 stories, one from my braddah, one from my grandmaddah, and one from husband. All on Moloka'i
1) My braddah and his friend had an experience above my husband's house where he grew in Moloka'i before I even met my husband. As you know, no moa dat much stuff fo' do on Moloka'i but chill. Anyhow, My braddah and his friend was up at "tanks" chillin' out, drinking beer and talking story. had ada guys but dey left and dey wanted for chill and "sobah" up before going home. So....they was up dea and my braddah heard pounding noises like one Pahu drum. To da beat, not random. So my lolo braddah and his friend wen jump on da room of their suv to look out in da darkness and see if had anything. What dey saw was lights, like flames on torches. My braddah decided for drive home and grab his Kui or his walking stick (he and I learned to fight with Kui as we grew up...it was our saftey) anyhow, they went back and it was still going on. they ran thru da bushes and saw men walkin in malo or something white like that, kihei? don't know....they watched them walk right passed them and it was over. I asked if he thought if he was going to fight? He said yeah...i just laughed!
2) Another encounter was w/my gramma. She was young in elementary when they lived on their homestead by coconut grove. Her bedroom was in the path of their march. She would see them every now and them walk thru the wall past the foot of her bed and out the other wall. I asked what she did and she said there wasn't much she could do but go back to sleep. She was brave....
3) my husband's story....when he was a kid. He used to stay at his uncles house on homestead land in Ho'olehua and they same thing used to happen to them when they were there but the kitchen was in the path of the marchers. They too weren't afraid and treated the situation like nothing....

it turns out that a third floor unit at the makaha plantation has night marchers traveling through a woman's kitchen at 3 in the morning. However, when you look at the configuration of the place, you discover that it is built into a bowl formation. Which means that the third floor units are where level ground used to be. Right in the middle of the path of nightmarchers.
